The exhibition opened to the public on the 5th of November 2022 and was open until the 8th of February (extending the date from the 15th of January to the 8th of February 2023). The collective exhibition had as its central theme, “Clausura”, where the artists showed their languages in works of painting, sculpture, objects, drawing, installation and video.
“CLOSURE in life
A text always starts alone. Like an installation. Or the enclosure. Closure of someone or with someone. The cloistered condition of those who make confinement a kind of outside space for an inside cloister. A kind of aesthetic unconscious in a space of silence, a fragile miracle to be deciphered.
Clausura has a woman's name, holy martyrdom. Here and now, we are all guests imprisoned in cells of light, sculpted by the imagination of artists, a rite of passage, an icy fever of inspiration, naive and secret prayer.
The Clausura is a closure in life. A condition of time in a liberation of the spirit. A substantive prison, an imperative cloister, our inner courtyard that generates pain for thought or art to happen.
In enclosure time is silent. And what is time? Je ne sais pas. But it must be like hearsay: Once upon a time... the fleeting beauty of a bird's flight.”

I loved the exhibition. A little far from Lisbon but well worth it.
