SYNOPSIS:
«“A Saudade” is a children's book (for kids and adults) that tells an episode between a father and a daughter in a vintage, homely and tender environment. It intends, through a poetic and metaphorical language, to illustrate this feeling that inhabits us, honoring this very Portuguese word. The story serves to help younger readers create visual images that demystify the subjectivity of a poetic narrative. There is, throughout the whole book, an intimate connection between the text and the illustrations, so that the scenarios, also pure metaphors, can transport us through the images created by a father who plays with words, to a global universe. and affective. The language, fun, but with a great deal of implicit melancholy, directs the reader to a highly sentimental outcome, which is up to each one to interpret in their own way. In each presentation of A saudade, the authors (Rui Beato and Silva Nuno) recreate the setting of the story in 3D [the house] using puppets that represent the characters and allowing the public to observe the relationship between them with surprising notes… »

Silva Nuno, congratulations! I have never seen a different book with captivating and expressive illustrations! I bought 3 books and it looks like I won't stop here. Fantastic!
I would like to congratulate the authors Rui Beato and Silva Nuno. The illustrations are spectacular. There is a blue thread that accompanies the whole book and that portrays Portuguese symbols. I loved! I loved! I loved!
