Certificate of Authenticity (COA) on Silva Nuno paper
Some works are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity on paper, (with PT and EN language simultaneously), particularly the most demanding and elaborate works (paintings, sculptures, installations, among others). Naturally, some lower-priced works (drawings, collages, engravings, screen printing, among others) Certificate of Authenticity It is only issued if the owner of the work submits a request. The request to issue the Certificate of Authenticity (with a unique, personalized design and created by Silva Nuno himself) carries an additional cost, and is only issued if the owner guarantees to own the work in question. The Certificate is in 2 simultaneous languages: Portuguese (the artist's native language) and English (if the work is exported abroad).
Which importance of having the Certificate of Authenticity on Paper from a work of art?
It is a set of important documents and underpinsare that prove the authenticity of the work. Proves the direct provenance by the artist, excluding possible mistakes and doubts regarding its origin, authenticity, provenance, path and history of the work; it is a document that also reinforces proof of ownership and owner in case of theft or loss; prevents possible attempts at forgery, possible imitations, or illegal appropriation of the work.

There is only one Unique and original Certificate of Authenticity per work. A duplicate is possible, but impossible to reproduce the authentication requirements that the original has (ID number in hologram, among others).
The Certificate of Authenticity of a work of art imitated by a gallery is valid but the artist's Certificate of Authentication reinforces and nullifies any misunderstandings of its provenance.
